What do I do if my identity card has expired or my address has changed?
Every identity document must be valid on the day of notarisation in order to be used for an online notarial procedure. If you have already read your identity card, you can view the validity of your eID data and your signature certificate directly on the starting page of your user account.
If a notarisation appointment is due but your identity card has expired, please contact the notary's office immediately.
However, if only the data stored in your identity card (e.g. your address) is no longer up to date and the card is otherwise valid, this is not a problem: you can then continue to participate in the online notarial procedure - just let your notary know early enough that your data has changed.
If you have received a new identity card, you must re-identify yourself with this new card. To do this, click on "Update eID data" in your personal space.
