The Bundesnotarkammer (hereinafter referred to as “BNotK” or “we”) takes the protection of your personal data, e.g. information on personal and factual relationships of an identified or identifiable natural person, very seriously. The collection, processing and use of your personal data is made in strict compliance with the provisions laid down in the European General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (hereinafter referred to as “GDPR”). The processing of your personal data is carried out exclusively in our data centres located in Germany.
a) Usage data
Each time you visit our website, your web browser transfers the following data:

b) Matomo
Our website uses the open source web analysis service Matomo. Matomo employs technologies that enable cross-page user recognition in order to analyse user behaviour. This enables the collection of the number of page views and user-related information for statistical and analytical purposes. We immediately anonymise the IP addresses so that no personal reference can be made. Matomo collects the following user-related information from us, provided you have consented to this:

We only use your data for the purpose of carrying out analyses and compiling statistics that enable us to obtain feedback on user behaviour and to improve your user experience on our website. We do not disclose your data. Our website can also be used in unrestricted form without Matomo. You can withdraw your consent at any time without any disadvantages. This analysis tool is used pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR in conjunction with your consent.

random hash value to determine a user's repeated visits, provided the user consents to the use of Matomo. The cookie identifies users and checks whether a session is already active and calculates cross-session metrics such as the number of visits until the target is reached, number of visits or days since the last visit.

numerical value that is used to assign the user's active session if the user consents to the use of Matomo. When the cookie is not available and the last recorded visit of the website was more than 30 days ago, the visitor counter in the cookie pk_id is increased.

The legal basis of the data processing is for the German Federal Chamber of Notaries Art. 25 para. 1 TDDDG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR and Art. 25 para. 2 no. 2 TDDDG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 3 BDSG and with Art. 78 para. 1 sentence 2 number 10), Art. 78p BNotO.
5. Use of third-party services
Your personal data will only be transferred to the third parties listed below for the following purposes:
Rockenstein AG, Ohmstraße 12, 97076 Würzburg, which operates our data centre,
Goldland Media GmbH, Immanuelkirchstraße 12, 10405 Berlin, which is commissioned with the website realisation and maintenance.
Pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, all processors are contractually obliged to take technical and organisational measures so as to ensure the protection of your personal data.
