The different steps of the online procedures

Choose the project

Select a project that you would like to have notarised online. If you are not sure, do not worry: you are not bound by your choice, your notary will help you choose the right solution according to your needs.

Register

Then log in to your user account or register for the first time if you do not have a user account yet. In your personal settings, you can identify yourself in a legally secure manner with your eID (your electronic ID card): we will guide you step-by-step through the identification process. Based on this data, we will create a personalised signature certificate free of charge for your qualified electronic signature. You can use this to digitally sign your document later in the videoconference. 

Book an appointment with the notary

Now complete your project and send it to a notary of your choice. Based on your details, we will provide you with an overview of all notaries competent for your project. 

Videoconference appointment with the notary

Once you have clarified all questions with your notary and the draft authentic act has been approved, you can schedule the appointment for a videoconference with your notary. After the authentic act has been read aloud, you sign it in a legally secure manner with a qualified electronic signature. This is done by entering a personal TAN, which is generated anew for each signature and sent to you by text message, just like in online banking. This will protect you from identity fraud and fraud in the digital world.
